” I been involved in Off Road Racing since the age of 17, that’s forty years, a lifetime. My trade is a Coachbuilder, my Dad was a mechanic and my Brother is a race engine builder. Other motorsports I have built for include Rally, Hill Climb and Drag Racing. Off Road Classes I have raced in are Class 9, Class 7, Class C, Class A/M (Class 5), Class 3, Class 1, Class S and Class 2. Personal achievements are winning the N Z Short Course Championship, 2nd Overall Taupo 1000 twice, 2nd Overall N Z National Series and National Champion in Class many times. Cougar Race Cars first started in 1985 and since then have 89 cars out the door. Our cars, have won for their owners many big races like the Taupo 1000 , Woodhill 100 and titles including New Zealand #1 and Australia #1. With all this I have gained a broad and comprehensive knowledge of what is needed to build reliable and winning cars and what parts to use. Having made many contacts here and overseas we are able to source the best parts at competitive prices”
