Unlike the rechargeable TR2, the Direct Power unit draws power directly from your vehicle’s 12V battery — no charging required, ever. If you want a permanently installed transponder that is always ready without any maintenance, this is it.

What Is a Direct Power Transponder?

A Direct Power transponder is hardwired to your vehicle’s 12V electrical system rather than running on an internal rechargeable battery. It draws power continuously from the vehicle, meaning it is always on and always ready — there is no battery to charge, no LED to check, and no risk of arriving at the track with a flat transponder. The trade-off is that it cannot be removed and used in another vehicle without rewiring. For competitors with a dedicated race vehicle, this is the cleanest and most reliable installation option.
